A New Look

I was getting sick of the way the site was looking, so I changed it. I know I’ll end up changing it again because I’ll no doubt get sick of looking at the site layout as well, but for now I’m quite happy with it. It’s a hacked version of a theme that I thought was nice, but I felt it needed some modifications. I’m not 100% finished yet, as I think the top of the page just looks bare. I’d like to stick an image in there, but my experiments so far have sucked so I think I’ll take time out to think of how I can make it work.

So, a new coat of paint has been applied. Next, I need to finish some of the 50+ draft posts I have started and get some more discussions happening. I have quite an interesting one coming up about software users, so watch this space.

Let me know what you think of the look (if you can be arsed!).

EDIT: The picture at the top of the page is another one of my home town - Brisbane :)

    Love your three column mod for my Quadruple! I didn’t think it would look this nice with one less column.

    I had trouble filling the header too so I left it alone. Because I’m on a one-theme-per-day schedule, I don’t have much time to sit and play with designs.

    Hello! Wow, I’m honoured that the author of the theme has come along to take a look :) Fantastic. I’m glad you like the look of it, I think it works very well. I’m also glad that I’m not the only one with the issue filling the header - I hope I can come up with something that doesn’t ruin the feel of the site.

    i like this theme but preferred the old one oj but keep it up im sure youll get it awesome as per , peace out mate :)

    I’m afraid I’ve changed the theme again since I first posted this comment :) I ended up hacking and hacking and just couldn’t quite get it to how I wanted it. That’s not to say that the theme itself was bad, because I don’t think it was. It just didn’t fit what i was trying to do, and hence I decided to go for something else.

    This is more in keeping with your previous theme, so will please the oldies :) I also think the white space and narrow column a good thing. Im not so sure about the non-standard RSS icons, but i’ll forgive it this once !

    Yeah I’m not sure about those either mate. I think I’ll replace them when I can be arsed :)
